What began in 1991 as a Heart Transplant Program has evolved into a leading regional center for heart, renal/pancreas and stem cell transplantation. Today, we are among the largest, most active transplant facilities in North Texas and the Southwest, having garnered national and international recognition.

Our world-class physicians, many with over 20 years of transplant experience, make hope possible. They work closely with a large team of physicians with specialties from immunology to surgery to critical care–and all the specialties and subspecialties in between.

The result is a level of care unique to our facility. At Medical City, patients benefit from an entire team of specialists. Each patient is guided through the transplant process by a nurse coordinator with support from a social worker, psychologist and financial coordinator, in addition to their transplant physician and surgeon. This approach makes every transplant a personal experience that the patient doesn't have to go through alone. Add to that a support group, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, and extensive education, and you begin to see why we're unsurpassed in the region.
